Birthday Party .... #1 ! (Posted 8/2/2013)

When you're having a birthday as special as the first one home with your family, it's only appropriate to have more than one!  Especially when it's a surprise party at Uncle Frank and Aunt Lisa's!!!  And cousin Macy did an excellent job in the role of event planner to make Lila's birthday party very special.  It was obvious Macy (and Aunt Lisa : ) put a lot of thought into her decorations, gifts, and cupcakes (which were so yummy by the way!).  On our way to Mississippi to celebrate her birthday on her actual birth day (June 25th), we stopped by the Cabells for some great visiting time.  It was a ton of fun and a great visit. Lila just LOVED her presents, and her cousins and aunt and uncle.

Very Excited

Blowing out FIVE candles on the beautiful flower cupcakes (with bees on them)

True to form, Lila goes for the ice cream first.

Lila likes the super pretty bag so much, she thought that was the gift at first.

Next came the pool party portion of the event...

Shark Boy, where's Lava Girl?!

Lila was in heaven...cousin Macy was more than happy to be her royal horse as she
pretended to be a princess.  At one point, Max was her royal guard ..... until Lila fired him! : )

So sweet. Scotty all on his own read a book to Max
before they went to sleep. And Max was so attentive.

Six AMAZING Years -- Happy Family Day Scotty (Posted 7/28/2013)

In May, we celebrated Scotty's Family Day by going to Chuck E. Cheese.  We celebrate in various ways each year and depending on each child's personality.  Scotty is a fun, loud, all-boy, articulate, amazingly helpful spirit, handsome, gifted in building things, curious, action-packed blessing!  He also would hardly let me get a picture on HIS family day. Busy, busy, busy. We all had fun and THANK GOD for Scotty and that we GET to be his parents and have such a wonderful blessing in our lives. We love you!!!
